Who can learn to dive and how fit do I need to be to learn to dive?

You don't need to be an athlete to participate in scuba diving and anyone who can swim and has an average level of health and fitness can enjoy the activity.

Are there any medical conditions that restrict who can learn to dive?

Some medical conditions, eg heart disease or active asthma may prevent you from participation in scuba diving, subject to appropriate advice from a doctor. Details of health requirements and a medical questionnaire can be found here.

How many people will be learning to dive with me?

If you are taking part in any of the one day scuba experiences the maximum in a class is four. If you are taking any of the PADI courses longer than one day then Ocean College limit the groups to six with one instructor.

Do I have to get myself to the dive centre everyday?

With branches at the Hilton Waterfalls, Naama Bay hotel and Ocean Club hotel Ocean College can offer pick-ups from most hotels in the Sharm El Sheikh region and your course will generally be conducted in the nearest hotel to you.
