RESORT INFORMATION

Beyond Sharm El Sheikh is the secluded settlement of Dahab, a centre of Bedouin activity for many years. Dahab is very good for shore diving (boat diving is not available), excellent for windsurfing, plus there is very good snorkelling and camel trekking.

St Catherines Monastery and the Mount Sinai area are only a short journey away. The entry to some dive sites involves walking across the reef and can be a little difficult in some weather conditions.

Diving in Dahab

The following dive packs can be pre-booked with Explorers in the UK prior to departure and are for qualified divers only.

All dive packs and courses are arranged by Extra Divers. If you wish to dive with another dive centre a £35 supplement will apply.
Dive packs include two dives per day with tanks, air, weights and weight belt.
Dive packs do not include full equipment hire (wetsuit, BCD, octopus, regulator, fins, snorkel, etc. - these can be hired from the dive centre for approx. €25 per day) or lunch on board the boat (approx. £5).
Please ensure you take your log book and dive card with you. If you have not dived in the last 12 months you may be required to do a scuba review.
Participation in any diving services will require a completed liability release form.

WEATHER

The Red Sea has sunshine every day and virtually no rainfall. Temperatures range from 24°C in January to 39°C in July and August.
