Red Sea
Sharm El Sheikh
The climate is warm and sunny in the winter and very hot in the summer. The Red Sea is warm all year round and Sharm El Sheikh is sheltered from the wind and currents are gentle. Naama Bay is the resort centre; a bustling hive of dive centres, hotels, restaurants, shops and bars. Ras Um Sid is the headland at the South East end of Naama Bay.
Dahab
Dahab is the Arabic word for gold and looking at the vivid colour of the long sandy beaches it is easy to see how the town came to be known by this name. Although growing rapidly in popularity, Dahab offers visitors a rustic charm that falls in line with its hippy trail origins.
Hamata
Hamata is the most southerly resort in the Red Sea directly opposite the legendary dive sites of the Fury Shoals. Located south of Marsa Alam, Hamata is an area of beauty where the desert slowly turns a land reminiscent of a savannah with mangrove swamps and palm trees lining the coast.
