Diving
With a huge choice of dive sites to choose from there is something to suit everyone's taste, from beautiful coral reefs, canyons and swim throughs, fantastic macro life and frequent sightings of turtles, barracudas and stingrays.
Classed as a wreck haven for technical divers, some of the only diveable World War II battleships in the world are located here, the 37,000 ton 250 metre HMS Repulse and 40,000 227 metre HMS Prince of Wales. There is also a super tanker, 'Seven Skies', and a chance to explore the cargo holds of a British Oiler.
Diving the wrecks is a serious challenge with fast currents and old fishing lines adding to the difficulty. It is a venture only for the fully qualified and experienced diver but the reward is a rare, first hand view of this part of history.
For this reason it is a requirement for this destination to have a minimum Technical Diver qualification. Technical Diver courses are available with the dive centre on Tioman if you wish to learn whilst there.
