The coral atoll of Layang Layang is situated 300km off the coast of Sabah. A relative newcomer to the dive market Layang Layang remains unspoilt for divers.
Just 14 square kilometres in diameter, the atoll of Layang Layang rises 2000m from the ocean floor and therefore offers some spectacular wall diving.
The resort comprises 86 rooms with air conditioning, private showers, TV, refrigerator, telephone and private veranda. The resort also has a swimming pool, kayak and windsurf hire and a restaurant serving Asian and Continental cuisine.

Diving
Largely unexplored, there are new dive sites being discovered regularly. However, the 14 main dive sites can be reached in 10-15 minutes. With average visibility of 50m, the possibility of diving Layang Layang are endless.
The reefs harbour many new life forms, with species yet to be identified. Layang Layang is famous for its hammerheads and at least one boat has a sighting each day, with the best time of year being March to June. Sharks in general are normally seen on every dive, including leopard, blacktip and whitetip. Other highlights include dolphins, giant mantas, barracuda and giant morays. Layang Layang is fast becoming one of our most popular long-haul destinations.
The PADI dive centre is run by certified instructors with a team of qualified dive guides.
Diving is included in the itinerary price with 3 boat dives per day and unlimited shore diving with tanks, weights and belts.
Itinerary
Standard Itinerary
Day 1. Fly from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur.
Day 2. Arrive Kuala Lumpur and connect with your onward flight to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysian Borneo. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3. An early morning transfer to Kota Kinabalu airport for your flight to Layang. 6 nights accommodation on Layang Layang Island.
Day 4–8. Five days diving the spectacular sites around Layang Layang.
Day 9. Join your flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival connect with your flight to London Heathrow via Kuala Lumpur.
Day 10. Arrive London Heathrow.
