Resort Information
Located just 15 minutes by boat from the Sipadan Drop offs, Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort sits on its sturdy stilts on the shallow sandbanks of the Ligitan Reefs.
The resort is completely surrounded by water with no land in sight, except for a mile long sandbank of powder white sand, and the resort offers miles of walkways for those who like to stretch their legs.
Each wooden chalet is airy and comfortable with its own private balcony and bathroom.
All meals are served buffet style on the central open aired terrace, with tea, coffe, cold water and cordials served throughout the day. Evening drinks are served on the sundeck against the fabulous backdrop of the tropical sunsets.
Due to the state governments decision to move all operators from Sipadan by the 1st January 2005, Kapalai is a superb alternative being just a short distance by boat to the world renowned drop offs of Sipadan where you can find fish of every shape and size.

Diving
Kapalai's diving is spectacular with over 30 dive sites. Kapalai is mainly dived in shallow waters where there are plenty of small often yet-to-be classified brightly coloured objects hiding among branching colonies of the shallow surrounding coral reef, offering superb opportunities for observation and macro-photography.
Diving is included, with 3 boat dives per day, plus unlimited shore dives in front of the resort with tanks, weights and belts.
