Kosrae is the eastern-most of the Outer Caroline Islands and many local people still lead a traditional lifestyle. The island consists of deep valleys, high ridges and large tracts of mangrove swamps.
Kosrae Village Resort is an eco-friendly resort set in a mangrove area with towering coconut palms and the beach is just a stone's throw away. The 12 individual bungalows are all made with local materials and built in the style of a traditional Kosraen Lohm (house). They are basic, but blend in with the local environment and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Diving
For divers there is still a lot to be discovered in Kosrae as diving tourism really only started in the early 90s. The lack of development also helps keep the reef in superb condition. Kosrae has the finest mooring buoy program in Micronesia and the 50 dive sites logged so far have well-maintained buoys and lines. The abundance of marine life and pristine hard corals gardens are ideal for experienced and novices alike. Kosrae’s hard coral is among the healthiest and densest anywhere in Micronesia, or even anywhere in the world. You will also find good wall dives with potentially strong currents at sites like Shark Island. As the name suggests common sightings include sharks, barracuda, eagle rays, dogtooth tuna and turtles to name a few.
Itinerary
Standard Itinerary - combined with Truk
Day 1. (Departs Friday) Evening flight from London Heathrow to Seoul.
Day 2. Arrive into Seoul and take connecting flight to Guam.
Day 3. Very early morning arrival into Guam and transfer to your hotel. Take your morning flight from Guam to Truk and on arrival transfer to your hotel for eight nights accommodation.
Days 4-10. Seven full days to enjoy the wrecks of Truk Lagoon.
Day 11. Mid-Morning flight from Truk to Kosrae. Transfer to the Kosrae Village Resort for a five night stay.
Days 12 to 15. Four full days to enjoy the reefs of Kosrae.
Day 16. Afternoon flight from Kosrae to Guam, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 17. Very early morning departure from Guam to take your flight to London Heathrow via Seoul.
